If you have had a tarot reading before, it may have been a bit generic. Not knocking a good, wholesome reading because- OH BOY- they can do wonders.
But sometimes you want a bit more control. You want it to resonate to your primal core. You want to be able to reach in deep and grasp a hold of that... thing. You know, the thing you can't quite put your finger on.
SO.
As we all know- if you follow me- I am an AVID lover of Tarot and Art. Especially together but, utilizing them together seems to be a bit confusing. Especially since I'm still working out the kinks and using some experimental methods to read cards.
In my etsy store- I have something called "The Interactive Tarot Imagery Spread". This is a very long, complicated title for something quite simple: Color, Tarot and the impact it has on an individual. I use a series of techniques to help the client swan dive into their subconscious and dig deep to whats really going on. I use a series of images (that the client will create) and tarot and really get down to the meat and potatoes.
Here is the link in case you're Curious
In SIMPLEST terms possible: I draw (a card), you draw (an image).
I break down color, uses of lines and strokes, as well as feelings that those colors draw out of the individual. Every reading is different and completely catered to the clients perspective. This is what makes it so unique, and special. I also allow the client to choose their medium- Crayons, Paint, Construction paper, loose leaf, even just a pencil and paper! It's completely up to you!
Contrary to popular belief: NO, you don't have to know how to draw. No, you don't have to be the "creative" type. Homo-sapiens have used imagery to communicate lonnng before there was actual language floating around. Imagery WAS language. Hell, it STILL is!
You never know what a simple line can tell about a person. You never know what a choice of color can be decided about a decision in the making. It's up to you. You choose. You rule the tarot reading and not the other way around. I put you in charge of how you shape the reading and I'm not just sitting around, reading off cards and telling you advice that you've probably heard a million times before. You create the path. This is what makes it interactive.
Thanks for reading loves and I hope this clears some stuff up!
Much Love XOX

Two things I obsess over....
Happy 20th Buffyverse!
So, I did a thing.
Before I get to it, I have a confession. I am completely and utterly obsessed with Buffy The Vampire Slayer. I'm talking BIG, fan. Huge. Ever since I've seen the show I have been completely hooked and never looked back. Buffy is my absolute hero and that show- the writing, scenes and characters- they have all SHINED a light on me and my life.
So, for funsies, I did a thing. I pulled a card for Buffy Anne Summers to show me the energies she portrays and how it might relate to my life.
I pulled The Empress.... which, although is a strong female card, was NOT what I was expecting. Taking a step back, I analyzed this...
{Warning: SPOILER ALERT!! If you have not seen Buffy...well, what the hell are you doing? It's on Netflix, go binge that shit right now!!}
The Empress IS the lioness. She is the nurturer and the world exists because of her fertility and her compassion for this world. At first light, I see Buffy more as The Strength card: Calming yet fierce. And she is that card, don't get me wrong but, the empress is feminine personified. It is motherly and fierce and THE protector. Through season 6 of Buffy, she has such a dip in her inner empress. She is distant and depressed and completely lost. Then she learned to enjoy life again after the terrible heartache of loosing her mother and dying at the end of season 5. During season 6, she comes back "different". She believes it was due to some sort of magic mix up but of COURSE she is different because she went through tumultuous events in her life. Don't worry- I'm nearing my point.
My point is that in season 7, she comes to realize that she needs to stop and smell the roses. That there was never anything wrong with her or the choices she made but she was growing. THIS is what the empress embodies. Stopping, smelling the roses and realizing that you are as mighty as an oak tree!
There are very many facets to Buffy, as there is to me!... or to anyone for that matter. The Empress was pulled for a reason. This facet needed to be shown from Buffy to mirror my life in some way.
Embrace my feminine side, don't give up and stop to smell your growth once in awhile. Go outside, get some sunshine and get in touch with something more tangible. Sometimes the best way to get a grip on reality is to well..... grip reality. Touch some earth, go elbow deep in that shit!
Don't worry about doing it wrong- Buffy is there to back you up.
Happy 20th ya'll. XOX

Sweating The Small Stuff.... and living to tell the tale
I know, I know.
It's been a long while since I wrote anything. And to be perfectly candid- I lost the will to type my little heart out for awhile.
You see, writing comes from a place of emotion. Compelling-ness. What have you; these past few months have been anything but compelling. I've made gigantic changes and adjustments. One- for which- I moved back in with my parents.
After living on my own for a good five years or so (maybe even longer) it has NOT been easy. Our views, the way we live among other MAJOR things are completely different. I truly felt I lost my voice and I was CONSTANTLY frustrated. I mean, 24/7. Mostly I was angry. Angry at myself, angry at the world and angry every time I "did something incorrect". To my parents standards- I was failing. Believe me, no one beat me up worse than I did.
The thing about anger is that it can turn into resentment pretty quickly and look, I'm not saying I still don't feel these things because HO-MAH-GOODNESS I still do but, I've learned to cope with a suffocating household as an adult. I thought this could be useful to some of those boomerang babies out there.
So here are somethings I learned- for both spiritual and non spiritual peoples- this can apply to anyone.
1) Claim your right as a boomerang baby. Fuck the people that make you feel bad about it. Shit happens and if people are only willing to judge you on your mistakes, screw that. You don't need that negativity in your life!

2) You're going to sweat the small stuff- especially if you are in an unwanted situation and have anxiety problems (like yours truly). Know what triggers you and know when someones "advice" is coming from a judgmental place or hateful place. That has EVERYTHING to do with them and NOT with you.
3) Learn to laugh it off!! This one is MAJOR. Something that has helped me at certain states of shock is: take a step back and compare it to a quirky sitcom. It lessens the disbelief of the situation and helps to put things in a place of ridiculousness; where it PROBABLY belongs.
4) Set goals, keep busy. Sometimes this is easier said than done. (Hey choir, meet preacher!) This is so damn helpful. Not only is it helping you stay focused and gets you out of the house but it will put you full steam ahead in a grounded way. Choo-choo motherfucker! This train ain't got no breaks!
5) Don't change the person you are. I am a people pleaser and it's hard for me to be combative in any way. I don't enjoy confrontation and I like to make everyone happy. This makes me my own worst enemy. It's a learning process to live with ANYONE, even if you've lived there/ with that person before. If people are not willing to compromise then just be polite, keep your head down and stay out of the way. Just remember: it's a learning process. This is an opportunity for you to grow, observe and understand why others may act the way that they do. It's an opportunity to be empathetic and maybe do some inner soul searching on why you may feel stifled. Don't do this out of fear either... at least try not to. Have it come from a place of love- this is something I have NOT mastered for myself yet- believe me. Just remember you can trust yourself always. You are you for a reason and if others don't want to embrace that then that's their problem... and no business of yours. They can keep that to themselves; which is my usual response.
6) If you practice spiritual stuffs- Do it, Do it, DO IT! Another thing I have a completely difficult time with is this: connection with the self. This is so imperative when in toxic situations. You control your own path, your own life and how it unfolds. Please, do not allow that resentment to build and build until you hate everything you've become. Put it somewhere. Give it to the Gods and Godesses. Give it to Hecate, Odin, Isis, Jesus, Frejya, the Universe. Give it to pen and paper, a canvas, paint, photoshop, journals, looseleaf, a drumset. Give it to the pavement, a baseball, football, basketball, the ocean. Create something beautiful within and/or without of yourself because you ARE beautiful and deserve some relief.
These things have helped a bunch. I am not perfect though. No one is so if you react badly to something or you trip up, do me a favor and stop being so hard on yourself. As Bob Ross says: "there are no mistakes, just happy accidents!". Embrace it. It's humanity at its finest.
Go with love and light,
XOX Pixie.
P.s. If that wasn't enough to cheer you up- Here's Bob Ross beating up his brush to get it clean! Love this man!

October Card: 9 of Pentacles
The month of October was approached with the understanding that it was time to picture what my future may look like. How could I shape my foundations and what am I after?
The nine of Pentacles truly helped shape what I want for my future and helped me focus on the things I want. I have the power to shape the future. I have the power to steer it in the right direction and I have the ability to create the foundation I deserve.
This holds true for everyone! The ability to create goals and slowly work toward something better and bigger. In an almost literal sense, it has helped me start nesting for the winter months to come. Creating a safe space for myself and getting comfortable. These decisions pushed me toward my goals I have created for myself.
Self discipline is a major role, as is sticking to your guns. We must hold ourselves true to our responsibilities and focus. Digging out the big picture can only help to heighten the sense of stability in ones life. THIS is what I strive to do.

August and September Card: Daughter of Pentacles and The Eight of Wands
Phew.
That word pretty much sums up what I have been going through in my life! First off, for all those who read my blogs I want to apologize for being so distant. These past few months have been overpowered with changes and stress and a whole bunch of wonderful, scary, new and exciting breakthroughs. Now, with that being said--
Hello, Daughter!
This card was my anthem for August. I powered through this month by going on job interviews, tons of job opportunities and lots of hard decisions that I had to make. My finances had dwindled but the opportunities were rich! In the end, the decision to choose one job over another became a trying choice but I feel as though I made the right one. Usually I have some quip or some inspirational metaphor for these types of things but I decided to get a little more personal here-- I was so lost and the cards helped me through the choice. Praying at my alter, meditating on what I had in front of me and being grateful for these opportunities that came into my life was very humbling. I felt lucky that i had the opportunity to even have a problem like that! I was experienced yet, new and I feel that this is what truly embodies the Page (or in this case The Daughter) of Pentacles.
The Eight of Wands...
Oh my Odin.
As I slid out of August and into the month of September, I was in pretty good spirits and things were looking up until...
My house became infested with termites (yikes) and I had no choice but to leave my home and live with my father. This is not something I was expecting and I was completely uprooted and defeated. This all happened on my birthday on top of it but, this was a sign. The sign of change has been coming up in the cards for a long while for me. I've gotten The Tower card almost everyday in my daily readings and this literally shook the foundation of where I lived. I get it Mother Earth, I heard you!
In a way I felt relieved to move away and start something fresh and work on something that was my own. By no means has it been easy and many things I love have taken a back seat but I understand the purpose of it. I know the WHY and in a way; I was sort of expecting it. The Eight of Wands talks about sudden change as well and change is never easy- whether you were expecting it or not.
All I can say is that I am glad to be back in my blog game and back to doing the thing that I love.
Much, much love honey bees!!

July Card: The Chariot Reversed
This post is extremely late -- I know. I also know that this month has been the month of extreme lack of control and direction. I feel I am in a slump and my anxiety has been at an all time high! To pin point such things and where they are stemming from is a very difficult thing to do. This month, I do not have a realization for you, I do not have a lesson learned. All I have is awareness and understanding of what I am feeling in the now.
As I pull the reins of The Chariot, I loose more and more control. The horses feel my fear and I'm going too fast to feel as though I can think on my feet. Things will get this way- you will feel anxiety and pressure and become super hard on yourself and you can try and think of every solution in the world to help you but sometimes, all you need to do is ride it out. Sometimes a crash is inevitable. Grit your teeth and brace yourself. Crash, pick yourself up and learn.
Things are always worse when you're in the thick of it. After the fall, there is always a way to recovery. Live in it at this moment, feel every bit and the rest will come later.
(I wish I could credit the artist but I could not find it anywhere!! This is not my image and if anyone knows this artist please email me!)

June Card: The Moon Reversed
June was quite a difficult month for me. I think that is one of the reasons why it took me so long to post this up.
The problem was: the reality of the matter. Honestly, I felt I needed a bit of darkness and a hideaway. There was just too much sensory reception in the way of realizing certain things in my life. I longed for a bit of mystery and illusion and dreaming. I worked so hard to distance myself for a bit of reality that I actually became drenched in it. I was so caught up in what I had to do instead of what I wanted to do and this hurt my dreams and aspirations a bit. Things took a back seat and I hated myself for taking the form of "responsible adult" because- let's face it- it's fucking boring. I was mostly afraid I was going to be stuck in that mode forever! It took experience in certain things as well as a little planning and organizing that finally set me straight! I'm not stuck in the darkness nor in the light but finely tuning the balance of both. Sometimes it takes a little reality to be grateful for your sense purpose and for what you DO have.
To all those reading this- so many blessings. My readers help more than you may know. <3

Ten Useful Questions to Ask the Cards to Get the Most Out of a Tarot Reading.
Reading Tarot is an art and like all art, everyone who reads tarot puts their own brush stroke upon each and every card that is read. Some may use it for simple "Yes or No" questions; some use it for fortune. I, on the other hand, use it for insight. It is a stained glass window to be studied and looked through as well as intricately interpreted for each querent and myself. For every client that I have happened upon, one thing is certain: asking the right question is the hardest part. All want answers to their burning desires, their questions and a door opened to what they have interpreted as: the unknown. They long for outcome but the journey is about asking the right questions. This is where I come in.
As a reader, I try and help the seeker to find the right fitting question. It cannot be too tight, for the light of understanding will be too small to see through. Nor can it be too vast, for fear of overwhelming the client. It's has to be baby bear porridge- just right. Communication with the client is key here, because you have to know what they want to know. What do they seek? Then you have to explain your style and if it is anything like mine, then, you have to explain why their "Yes or No" question may be too narrow for your skills. I help them with this. I give examples and then I see it click. The clicking part is one of my favorite parts- like so much more has opened for them.
These are the examples I give them:
1. What do I need to focus on right now?
2. what are the energies that are surrounding my relationship/career/spirit?
3. What areas of my life am I neglecting at the moment?
4. What talents am I not using in X situation?
5. How can I utilize my shadow side in my current situation?
6. What may be shifting in my life right now that I may be missing?
7. What lessons does this situation want me to learn?
8. What is my strength in X situation?
9. Insight on X problem?
10. How can I connect to my higher self for guidance?
I usually give this list or name a few off of this list with the clients situation in mind. This helps me tailor to the clients needs and narrow down what the client is looking for. Sometimes it's just reassurance, sometimes it's tough love. The question is the kindling for the spark that tarot has to offer. By choosing wisely, you can allow the flame to grow and spread as you read the cards.
I would take these questions as a base. Pick ones that inspire questions and word them to your liking! Use them to discover new things about oneself- you never know what you may find. XOX

May Card: The Seven of Pentacles
There are things in life where you just get this uncontrollable gut feeling of giving up.
"This isn't right.." you tell yourself.
"This feels off.." your gut tells you. The sour taste in your mouth is a constant reminder that there needs to be more. You're done wasting your time and you want to plan something bigger. Something stronger for your future and something that feels like you fit; you belong.
In the month of May, this was exactly what I was going through. I constantly reminded myself that there are bigger things out there for me and I can't give up. I cannot rest and the time invested will be well worth the wait.
There were many ups and downs- which is a clear sign that better things happening but also a clear sign that I was growing impatient. With anything, you have to wait till the storm passes before you can follow the rainbow to the pot of gold; or you can just skip the waiting and dance out in the damn rain!!
Push. Keep at it. You have the right idea and a good head on your shoulders! Be consistent. All will come in time. XOX

Balance
I am a one woman balancing act.
I attempt to balance mind, body and spirit as well as masculine and feminine. I am all about my inner warrior! my inner Valkyrie, flying down from Valhalla to sort out any messy, situations I may encounter. Just recently, I really bonded with my Queen of Swords; embracing the strong female side of me. In actuality, I have always felt a stronger pull toward my masculine energies, mostly my King of Cups side. I am the wooer, the doer; taking change through love and sensitivity. There is something so accepting in the masculine. Like one is already set in their ways- knowing they have the potential to grow but also a sense of stubbornness- even in the cups suit. I always felt the Kings were the master of their class- they know how to rule their element and they do it well. I felt as though I came from a place in my life where I always had to show my mastery, to be the decision maker and to pull myself up by my bootstraps. It took a long time to realize that there is a whole other kind of energy to tap into: The Sacred Feminine.
The strength of the Sacred Feminine and skill of a woman always fell by the wayside. The masculine part of me always trying to control a situation and being extremely sensitive about it. When I finally found my inner Queen, I was empowered. I found the perfect fit for my mostly feminine King and it was a mostly masculine Queen.
Why couldn't I separate masculine and feminine in a more clear, concise, manner? It is just not as simple as that...
For me, it was a natural part of my makeup to take something and completely flip it on it's head. Everyone needs to find their own balancing act and what works for them. No permission required! I've always been a more masculine female- taking charge in projects and solving problems. More over, I was still sensitive to others needs. When I met the Queen of Swords I became just, fair, and became less sensitive to pleasing every single person I encountered. Although this side of me still lingers- it does not hinder my judgement and what may be best for myself. I plan to discover all of my court cards within me and learn to balance them appropriately.
It's time you find your balance, your inner Masculine and Feminine and introduce them to each other. Have them work together for awhile! Doing this will allow you to open new doors to who you are and your potential!

April Card: Mother of Cups
Emotions. The best and worst thing to happen to the human condition.
The Mother of Cups is depicted as a swan- strong and protective. A graceful, proud bird that is intuitive, graceful and understanding. She moves through water so fluid; like water itself. She is encompassed with emotion and warm-fuzzies. To be completely honest- throughout the month of February and March I felt nothing like the Mother of Cups. Boarding up my heart was pretty much my main concern and I was alright with that.
The idea of being in complete contact with cups was a distant thought but, one always makes plans and those plans are usually skewed by actual living. Do know the saying "the heart wants what the heart wants"? Well, I believe that to be completely and utterly true. No matter how closed off I assumed I was going to be- I couldn't help but be open and inviting and welcoming to those around me. The Heart Chakra was convinced about staying open, inviting and wise. And I was in control of it. I was aware of it happening and I gave myself permission to be all of those things. I was the mother of my own emotions. I received my first online, paid for, tarot reading and the timing could not have been more perfect. Such a time where I was aligned and understanding.
I have always been afraid that I would make the same mistakes over and over with my heart and that one day I will become weary because of it but, this wasn't the case. Nor has it been the case....
I was fluid- like the swan in all of her wisdom and empathy. I knew I was worthy of that and my heart was open and understood all the consequences that came along with such a choice. More than ever- I was ready.
Happy Mother's day.

March Card: Mother of Pentacles Reversed
March was an extremely personal month for me. Things were quite shaky and I was running through a process of feeling exposed, emotional, and raw. Having this spread in front of me- I looked at my options: I could rely on my relationships and get completely sucked into this small, little, hidden world or I could break out and understand where it all was coming from.
There is nothing wrong with relying on others but time is the essence of where healing comes from. Everyone is guilty of burying themselves in something to hide a wound or to avoid a healing process. It will always get worse before it gets better. Don't let the wound fester and infect your life and habits. Dig up emotions, plant a new seed, and allow that to grow out of the deep cut that was left there. It's not fucking easy in the least; it never is. Be aware of the lines being crossed for yourself from healing into co-dependency.Don't allow the Queen of Pentacles to protect something that needs to be exposed; allow it to collect oxygen and heal itself in the light of day. You are worth it. XOX

On Letting Go..
It's a difficult thing to break- the comfort of a human being, a vice or even a habit that has brought you comfort, love and happiness in your life. Things that have kept you floating and warm. Sometimes, for reasons out of ones control, you have to leave these precious things behind; not because you want to but because you have to. Letting go can be painful. So painful that there are stages you go through in order to heal from this experience: The five stages of grief.
Leaving something or someone behind, whether it be in your control or out of your control can be gut wrenching. Being aware of these five stages can help the process and help you to be aware of what you're feeling and why. These can be felt in any order- everyone is different and goes through things differently. Each is living their own story, their own version of the human condition.
The first stage I want to talk about is Denial and Isolation. This feeling is displacement, going through the motions and sticking that pesky thought wayyy in the back of your thoughts. You start to feel or actually be cut off from others. This is natural, for a time. It creates a barrier from the initial realization that something- a part of you- needs to be let go. Hiding within can be helpful and give proper insight to what you may be feeling and why. The important thing is not to stay here. The longer you push the feeling back, the stronger it will become. It can manifest in unhealthy ways and slow the grieving process as well as the growing process.
The second stage is Anger. By allowing yourself to realize what you're feeling and as the barrier comes down, you may become angry at yourself. This could be a form of guilt, manifesting as self-anger or anger for the vice, person, etc.. Asking "why in the hell would I think that?" or placing some sort of blame on others. Even placing blame on yourself and utilizing self deprecating behavior. Being angry is a valid emotion. Let me repeat: Being Angry is a VALID emotion and should be felt as such. Follow the wave of it, allow it to wash over you and when all is said and done, let it rest on the shore- allowing the ebb and flow of emotions to continue their cycle.
The third stage is Bargaining. That little pre-reward system we tend to grasp onto. "Well if I text them today then I won't text them for three days after." Or "If I finish this pack of cigarettes then I won't buy another". It's OKAY to think this way. It's okay to want to reward good behavior but it's harmful to use the vice or person AS the reward- especially as the pre-reward. This won't bring back the past, it won't make you feel like you once did or allow yourself to grow from this thing you need to let go of. You have outgrown it- you won't be able to go back to how it was; as much as you feel that the past is the way it should be. Don't force your growth to be pushed into a hole it won't fit into. You're doing yourself and others no justice here- allow expansion and understanding. Come to terms; an understanding of what is actually happening.
The fourth stage is Depression. This is sadness. It is the slow parting of something or someone dear to us. This can manifest in different ways- it's different for everyone. This is the known shedding of ones skin and the fear for what may come. The support of others is crucial in this stage. Look to others, look for advice and look for hugs! It is okay to feel this way. It is OKAY to cry and feel exposed and alone. Look to the support system in your life. Allow them to reassure you and be there for you. Understand that this is only temporary and that you will bloom again into something beautiful when your soul has reached it's spring.
The fifth and final stage is acceptance. Acceptance of who you have become without this person, place or thing in your life. Acceptance that life moves swiftly and sometimes abruptly. This is a time of deep introspection and can be brought on by depression. Like the Hermit in a tarot deck, this time is used to contemplate whats to come and being at ease with oneself. Being alone does not mean being lonely. Being afraid does not mean avoiding fear. Acceptance is something larger, as a whole. It's a private understanding and each person handles it differently.
These stages can be dealt with in any order, at any time. Sometimes you will feel two stages at once. There is no time limit on the process and can't be copied by anyone else. The experience is yours and yours alone.
Viewing it through the cards: Death VS The Tower
Both cards have the opportunity for change and growth. Death is more of a personal experience like a butterfly emerging from a chrysalis.
The Tower card is more of a sudden change; uncontrolled and shaky. This is about outside events affecting your foundation and having less control in the overall situation; Like an earthquake, affecting the foundation of a house. Although predictable- sometimes you just have to stand in the doorway and hold on until it stops.
Both of these can lead to grief and having to leave something behind. Rising from the ashes or making plans to rebuild are important. It prepares you for the unknown, allows growth and helps the understanding of self. Above all- love yourself through this process. Allow mistakes and allow the emotions. Blessed be, loves.

February Card: Two of Cups Rx
I didn't really think it was possible- to have Tarot Cards predict a path for yourself but, this isn't the first time I've been wrong either.
For the month of February there has been an imbalance within myself. A place inside where it hurts to be whole. Without being too candid- it felt like things were flipped on their head. The two cups are flipped upside down- relinquishing emotions. Feeling dry and used up; not fulfilled in some way. It was coming from a place, emotionally but why and when it occurred can't be pinpointed.
I was quite hesitant to write a blog about this because there is a part of me that is still going through this. The imbalance lies within- feeling quite disconnected with my feminine energies. I have had a Patron deity for awhile now but, I had been on the search for a Matron. I feel eternally connected with Freyja- the leader of the Valkyries and that is what I hope to encompass in my life. Embracing life and death, support and fieriness, love and strength. I need tough love in my life. To be completely honest I think I was afraid of adapting to a Matron. Patrons seem to love from afar and only let in a stern hand when really needed. A Matron would see things coming, allowing me to love myself and at the same time- bring truth. The two of cups rx was a sign of my emotions blocking what was needed and what was inevitable. Quarreling and hurt consumed me but, now I am learning from these feelings.
Next month is The Queen of Pentacles Rx and I look at it as a sense of self preservation and dependency. I can take it as a warning or a sign that I am not alone. It's okay to be selfish and dependent on my Deity. As long as I grow and learn- blossom from the experience.

Counseling Family
As someone who has researched the behaviors of people for many years of her life, I find myself wanting to help more and more. I want to reach out more and more and expand my ideals and share my passions with others.
One would assume that the best place to start- to put ones wisdom and talents to good use is at home! What better way to be the biggest help you can be through family, right?
-Not so much-
Family is quite a different animal than helping friends or strangers. Well, why? For starters, sometimes family has a hard time of taking their "own" seriously. Not to say that they won't but if you come from a family that expects a "normal career" out of you then showing them your life coaching skills or any wisdom you've picked up over the years can be a challenge. I believe the reason for this isn't malicious; it is because they KNOW you, darling. They have seen you go through so many life stages, evolve and grow into a million different people. They have seen those embarrassing teenage stages and those experimental stages and even baby adulthood when you were still trying to figure out how to pay bills or write a check. Whatever it was, they came along the way and they might have a hard time grasping onto the adult, confident you!
Even if they have finally come to terms with who you are and what you choose as your path, using your gifts for family members can be dangerous. They may become prone to resenting you because they feel like "you know best". Even though you are trying to help them and KNOW how to help them doesn't mean they WANT your help. It can be hard when an older sibling or parent sees you shoot out rainbows of wisdom "seemingly" out of nowhere. It can be intimidating and down right scary. They may feel like you don't need them anymore and feeling like the roles have reversed may be quite uncomfortable. Instead of accepting they might backlash and dive deeper inside themselves.
Lastly (this is the big one) just because spiritual healing, life coaching or whatever it is you do worked for YOU does not mean it's going to work for someone else. That pretty much goes for anyone, not just family. You're pumped and excited and you want to share your passion and heal the world. Unfortunately, people don't heal the same way and it is up to you to know when to back off or to pursue. It can be hard to know exactly when to do what but it is a learning process. You don't want to push and cause more damage in the end or vice versa. At the end of the day, trying to council your family hits a little too close to home.
You can be there to listen always. In fact- I encourage it. I would approach it as a sister, a brother, a son or daughter- yes, absolutely 100% but nothing more. These are my experiences with this topic and it has never ended well. Usually I become the one to blame in the end. I try my best to stay away from counseling but I'm always there to lend an ear for them to chew on when they need it most.
If they ask me for my advice- my PROFESSIONAL, pure cut advice, I am happy to give it-
Between the hours of nine to five on weekdays. Don't worry, they already know my email.

January: The Two Of Wands
Over the course of January I've felt the direction of the Two of Wands close by my side. Putting my thoughts into action; the balance of thinking and doing. The duality of my patterns and the patterns I place in front of me to follow. Was there direction? Absolutely. Was there also doubt? Completely.
Having determination and direction does not fall short of pursuing it, unencumbered. There were many things I has to face- the biggest one being sick in the beginning of January. I was sick with a terrible cold for two weeks; filling my body with nothing but NyQuil and Orange Juice (extra pulp). My brainstorms were so rich that I have the beginnings of so many amazing and wonderful ideas rattling around in my head. To put all of those things into action was very hard. Motivation and laziness seemed to take over in one wave after another. Although I did fall many times, I was still able to pick myself back up and reset my routine. Everything has be trial and error. The best thing is to keep that fire kindling. Even though my fire was set to a small glow in the coals at times; I never gave up and I was never put out. I blew slowly on the coals until they caught onto my passions again and I was reminded how creatively blessed and lucky I am to be this living, breathing human being.
Just keep breathing and you'll light yourself eventually, loves. If I can do it, so can you.

Seeing the best instead of the worst
Hello lovelies!
My, it has been one crazy month so far; full of creating and brainstorming and LOTS of research. I am so excited to announce that I have so much more to come for you all!
Also, my Etsy store is up and running with THREE (that's right, count 'em) THREE ITEMS OF PURCHASE! You can click on the button that says "Etsy" at the top of my blog for more information, doll!
I am currently working on several projects to be offered as well as lots and lots of juicy (free) content and, last but not least: My About Me SECTION! ...finally.
Needless to say, it is hard work. I cherish every day I get to do it, though.
Although, it doesn't always seem that way. Things can get bleak after awhile. Always wondering if I will be able to conquer my fears and rise up to the challenge. I have never wanted something so badly and I've never stayed focused on something for so long. Now- why is this? I have had so many passions over the years that have been smothered one way or another. By myself or a close family member or friend; whether it be malicious or no- there seemed to always be a reason in the way. This made me feel bad....
I mean REALLY bad and it still does. I didn't know why people expected so little of me when I knew I had the potential to be big, big, BIG!
It was easier (and still is) to tell someone to be safe. Take the safe route, there is less of a chance of failure. I mean, if you take the 9-5 job, what's really so bad about that, right? Steady income, benefits, steady hours and boring. Hey, if a 9-5 is for you, HAVE at it, by all means. Some people really enjoy their 9-5 job and that is amazing that they found something that is right for them but...
It's not for me. It's like trying to force a triangle peg into a circular hole- not going to work. (and did I mention - OUCH!)
Then, I heard a theory by a man named Viktor Frankel. It was a TedTalk.
(By the by: if you have never heard of TedTalks I HIGHLY recommend them. Amazing, to say the least)
I will link the video but it basically said if you hold people in a higher regard, if you believe in them, it will lift them up and you will see the person they truly are. If you judge them or assume what they are capable of before you even give them a chance, they will always be viewed as less than what they are. This has always stuck with me.
So I asked myself: Why now? Why with Tarot and spirituality and Art? Why?
Because I believe now. I believe in myself to be meant for more. I see myself and I fall in love with what I am doing each and EVERY time. So in the words of The Smiths:
If not now, when?

A Banner Year!
Most years, in the past, I have come into the new year HOT. Like a comet; ready to slice through the vast magnificence of stars and dust. I am unafraid and very, very unprepared.
This year, I decided on a different approach. One of my Tarot savvy friends did a year spread for herself and was kind enough to share her wonderful spread with me! (Thank you Samantha!)
So, because this is the first time I did something so vast, I decided it would be a good idea to go through each one in the middle and then re-visit the rest of the months throughout the year. I completely encourage everyone to do the same and share it with me!
The three main cards in the middle are my themes- the middle one being my "Main" theme. The five of wands shows a bit of weakness, and how I may lack the focus and feel a bit scattered-brained. Let me tell you: this comes as no surprise. I have a terrible habit of doing too much at one time or loosing focus quickly. SO many ideas, SO little time! The second "lesser" card is the three of cups. This card is a lovely card, filled with joy and belonging. This card is celebration and friendship! It IS community! I am very excited about this card because I feel as though this is something I have been severely lacking in my life as of late. The middle card is the Father of Pentacles. My main theme looks so PROMISING! I have worked so hard in 2015 to become my own woman and work at my success and my entrepreneurial dreams and I am excited and a bit nervous on what this card will mean. The cool temperament of the Father of Pentacles combined with my scatter-brained tenancies and my call for celebration seems like complete opposite themes. In a sense, it is finally combining the creativity, support and financial stability into my life that I have been working toward. Last year was a "sword" year, for sure. All I did was mentally prepare and second guess and think, study and fuel the wheels.
This year, I am looking forward to finding the lesson in each month and I hope to learn from the ways of the father of pentacles. Grounded, calm and passionate.

Candid Interview with: Justin Minichelli
I have come to realize that a strong support system is so important in any field one tries to pursue. Justin, who is a very good friend of mine agreed to an interview with me. I was very much honored and excited because our journey on this spiritual path is very similar. I could not wait to sit down and pick his brain on this journey he was just beginning.
Justin: Yes, the life coaching came later. Shamanism came first. I think, in a sense I always identified with Magick. I always felt there has to be something more. Through different Podcasts and Websites, I found something called Ayahuasca. It is an ancient ceremony that has been taking place for hundreds of years in South America. People go there to take on their own journeys- to find themselves or to heal themselves or to speak to their ancestors- it is range of many different things. For me, I wanted to uncover my identity; who I was and the beauty of that. I've always had a hard time with that.
We are here with the up and coming Justin Minichelli! So, jumping right in here: Define Life Coaching and Shamanism and what it is to you.
Justin: Hey there! Alright well, as far as the aspect of life coaching, I am brand new! I just received my certificate and I'm going to be accepting clients soon as well as a blog and a website. As far as Shamanism, I still consider myself a student. I suppose I look at myself as a student as both and I will always feel that way but Shamanism is still so very new to me. The other day I just found out that my grandmother had aspects of Shamanism in her life-
Oh, how cool is that! It's meant to be!
Justin: I know! It's just unfortunate because she passed away a few years ago so we weren't able to share our experiences but maybe there is a way to find answers.
Well, yeah, it must run in the family somehow or maybe she is speaking to you by you starting your journey in shamanism, specifically.
Justin: That is a strong possibility. She also did Tarot as well. I just found that out yesterday.
Really? Interesting! That's awesome!
So, tell me a bit about your journey. Obviously it is still so new to you and you came upon it through happenstance.
Justin: Yes, I found it all on my own. For a long time I didn't know what I wanted to do. I was so interested in many different aspects. I wanted to do art, when I was a child I wanted to be a scientist, but, I never really knew where I fit in. Two summers ago I went on a journey to Peru to discover who I was. I wanted to know what my purpose was and what my place was and how I can contribute.
That is very cool. Did you discover Shamanism on this trip?
Justin: Yes, the life coaching came later. Shamanism came first. I think, in a sense I always identified with Magick. I always felt there has to be something more. Through different Podcasts and Websites, I found something called Ayahuasca. It is an ancient ceremony that has been taking place for hundreds of years in South America. People go there to take on their own journeys- to find themselves or to heal themselves or to speak to their ancestors- it is range of many different things. For me, I wanted to uncover my identity; who I was and the beauty of that. I've always had a hard time with that.
Yes, self-love, man! Everyone should be on that journey or trying to get on that!
Justin: Absolutely!
Tell me what is next for you. Are you incorporating the two? Do you plan to?
Justin: You know, it is funny how I found Life Coaching. It wasn't even a thought in my mind until someone mentioned it to me. It was actually mentioned to me by three different people within the same week! When I sat down and thought about it, it really clicked. It was a sign for sure. I've always been the advice giver and helping people. It was kind of like an "Ah-ha!" mixed with a "Duh". I found a class within a week that was starting soon and I grasped the opportunity.
It was meant to be!!
Justin: Yes, exactly. This is just the beginning, though. Just the initial step before I branch out. I believe Shamanism is going to play a big part in that. I honestly have no idea what is in store but I know it will play it's part.
So this transitions me into my next question! Did it really benefit you taking the life coaching class?
Justin: Absolutely. For me, I always tried to see the best in people and going through the course helped me understand WHO a person is and helped me identify their soul and spirit. Being able to see what is beneath the surface. It really opened my eyes to that.
Would you suggest the class to others- for those on a similar path? Do you think it would benefit others?
Justin: I think it would if you feel as though you are here to help others; even if you don't want to be a life coach. The class I took was "Coaching for transformation" located in the Open Center in New York City. It was a nine month course and you really grasp a new knowledge of yourself and others. It helps deal with obstacles in life and connections with nature and a TON of other things. You see the depth within the hardships and in turn, are able to make beneficial strides.
I know we had discussed this before but I find it interesting that it is a nine month course; kind of like a rebirth. You also mentioned that it really opened up your eyes- the first thing i thought of is that it may be helping you to open up your third eye as well. Did the course focus on intuition as well?
Justin: Intuition is a BIG part of it. One of the last few times we met together as a group, we had to work with our partners and we were suppose to turn off our brains and say whatever came to mind. To be BOLD with it and it was one of the most powerful classes we had, in my opinion. So many people came to such strong insights because of that.
Yes, the mind is such a powerful thing. You are always going to have thoughts weave in and out but the important thing is to let them come and let them go. What might be grasped onto and what conclusions you may come to can be powerful- I can imagine. So, I know I spoke about this on my blog before and I know we had mentioned this in conversation with each other as well; having an authentic life and having an authentic business. In what ways to you incorporate life coaching and shamanism into your daily life?
Justin: It's funny because this is something I struggled with for a long, long time. To be honest, I still do and I'm still learning but I feel its really about being yourself- down to the DNA- and it is up to the individual to bring them to life. Through finding whatever it may be, it brings out a light within and an alignment. Some people already know right off the bat what they want to be like, I want to be a baseball player or an actress!
Lucky bastards.
Justin: I know right! Ha! With each day that follows, I try to find authenticity and how it may transition for me. It really used to be a hindrance but now I'm really listening to myself and my soul. I'm not putting up a front anymore. I'm really trying to find the buried treasure within and help others do the same.
Yes, find the booty! (heh)
Justin: Yep, for sure. Ha!
Are there any tools you use to bring out your authenticity? Like a mantra?
Justin: I don't have a mantra yet! I have one that I am thinking about which is the "ho'oponopno" mantra from Hawaii. I want to read about it more though because it sounds really cool. What I use right now are my interests. I want to learn more about these things that I am attracted to and follow them one by one. You will discover new and exciting things about yourself which will lead to true authenticity.
Yes, the journey of yourself and being who you are is what makes you authentic. That's beautiful.
Justin: That is why I love the Lord Of The Rings movies because it's all about this "quest". So much character development and exploration and a great metaphor for life.
Not to mention the lovely scenery and imagery that goes along with it. You just want to live there and journey with them!
Justin: Yeah I mean, dragons and orcs suck but the rest is mystical and beautiful. I would go there in a heartbeat.
Agreed! Ha!
So what has been the hardest part of your journey so far?
Justin: Looking back, it's was not being "aware". Not being aware of my potential and coming to terms with that. That was really hard because you feel so lost. It's like you're in a dark room, just trying to feel the walls on where to go. On top of that, so much is expected of you through family, friends and society- it's overwhelming to fit in.
The pressure to feel unique and then the want to prove yourself as well. You want to be someone that will make others happy but it won't get you out of the dark.
What would be one piece of advice who are just starting out in life coaching and/or shamanism?
Justin: Follow your excitement, follow your intuition and your gut. There is a reason why you are drawn to the subject! You may find things that you would have never thought you would find.
What message do you want to give to your future self at this present moment?
Justin: That's a good question. I guess it would simply be "live well" because I feel like my future self would have his shit together. Ha. I would think he would have every thing together so I would just say "keep living well".
So, trust yourself. You never know if your future self is going to have trouble with something. We all stray from our paths once in awhile - we are all human beings after all. That kind of advice is awesome. That is the kind of thing you can look back on and say "oh yeah, I said that! "Baby me" said that! Man, I was really wise that day."
Justin: Keep the trust and keep the faith in yourself. Absolutely.
XO
I really just want to give a gigantic thank you to Justin for doing this interview. Once he gets his website up I will be sure to link it within the blog and I am sure we will be working together in the future!
Thanks to all who took the time to read all about following ones path and I hope this helps one way or another. Much love!!! <3

When insomnia hits...
...it is much like a ton of bricks. Most of the time it's because I feel like I wasted my day. A whole twenty-four hours gone unnoticed because of the simple fact that I was unmotivated or lazy.
Ultimately I have come to realize that the most harmful person to be in a room alone with is myself. Not everyday but I know for a fact I am extremely hard on myself- especially when it comes to my future plans.
I am sure most can relate to this. The constant hounding of "I'm not good enough" and all the "what if's.." one may have to deal with on a daily basis. The most harmful thoughts lie in wait, in the back of my mind and decide to come out and play when I am the most relaxed and about to go on a journey into slumber land. I know, for myself that this is the cause of creative constipation (and believe me, it's as uncomfortable and icky as it sounds). This is when I feel restless, that things need to be done and I have the ideas and the plans to bring them into fruition but something is holding me back.
Maybe it is because all the ideas have piled on top of each other and I have no idea where to begin.
-Then I doubt myself
-Then I frighten myself
-Then I become incredibly hard on myself
-Rinse and repeat
The fact is that I am a creative ball of sunshine but think about it WAY too much.
I back myself up and then go searching for a creative enema.
(Apparently, I'm big with the poop analogy tonight as well.)
I have no answer for this; I only know what works in the moment or for a period of time. This has been Tibetan Singing bowl music and a whole lotta smudging. Some quiet, uninterrupted tarot time and calming methods. Realizing I am not perfect and that is perfectly alright with me.
Someone once told me that every painting I paint can't be a masterpiece.
Every day can't be productive as fuck. After all Rome wasn't built in a day and neither is a business or good character. Or good habits.
Or the truest of love.
The journey is worth the time, even the "unimportant" in-between. Even the insomnia.

Thanks for your eyes and your time <3
